At Treetops we have developed a Treetops Sustainability Initiative. Sustainability is embedded in our daily routines and curriculum so children have the opportunity to develop lifelong skills that will save our planet!

This includes,

-
Teaching children about Waterwise practices and how to reuse and save water
-
Using recycled materials for different purposes and during play experiences. We source items from the Remida sustainability centre
-
Observing life cycles
-
Taking care of our sustainability garden, observing fruit and vegetables grow, and using them for cooking experiences
-
Learning what and how to recycle
-
Collecting leftover food scraps for our compost bin. Observing what and how to compost. Children then use compost for rich soil in the sustainability garden
